Delgado to the Marlins

Delgado signs with Florida for 4 years, $52 million. An option could make it worth 5 years, $64 million.

Well, at least that's over.

It is rather ironic, though, that last offseason, the Marlins were trading Derreck Lee, their incumbent first baseman, because they didn't want to pay him...and now are spending millions more on the older Delgado...

Being a SF Bay Area Ranger fan, I'm not up to date on the latest rumors involving the Rangers. Do the Backe/ Burke for Soriano talks simmer still or have they died away?

houston apparently still wants soriano so the answer to that is yes, the trade rumors are still going.....................im pissed at the rangers.................tom hicks is a lier......................what else is new...................they wouldnt reassure delgados agent that he would play first base and wouldnt pay the extra few mills for delgado............tisk..tisk..tisk..........But if your a ranger fan than your more than used to this:)-

I live in Houston, and haven't heard much on the Soriano to the Astros front down here. I'm not sure if it is on the back-burner, or dead, or what.
