More Delgado news

The Baltimore Sun today has a piece on Carlos Delgado, indicating that the Orioles, at least, believe that the market for Delgado is moving. The Sun indicates that the Orioles made a three year offer at less than $10 million per weeks ago, and while they waited to avoid bidding against themselves, they may now be preparing a new offer.

Delgado's agent, David Sloan, indicates that there has been renewed activity and conversations with clubs since the new year, with the Rangers, Mets, and Dodgers mentioned as the likely suspects.

Interestingly, the Tino Martinez signing is credited with jump-starting interest in Delgado. Supposedly, now that teams know that they won't be bidding against the Yankees for Delgado's services, they are sniffing around again.
